Babylon Radio
Listen nowA dance performance, a plate of dumplings or a conversation with a local community group could be your starting point at Warrnambool’s Multicultural Festival. The annual gathering returns on Saturday 7 November 2026, bringing cultural performances, food and workshops to the city’s Civic Green and Lighthouse Theatre.
The council’s event listing confirms a 10am to 3pm programme, with free entry and a welcome for all ages. Civic Green is at 34–48 Liebig Street, Warrnambool, Victoria.
Find familiar flavours and something new
The food stalls will offer Nepalese momos, dumplings, bao, Balkan dishes and other choices from local and regional businesses. You can combine a meal with browsing makers’ stalls, seeing cultural performances or meeting people who share your interests. Food and shopping purchases are separate from entry.
Warrnambool Weekly’s 10 October preview describes more than 40 stalls and a programme spanning traditional and contemporary performance. KPOP Party, a random dance challenge and a cosplay competition are among the announced attractions.
Make a connection beyond the festival
For newcomers to south-west Victoria, the community stalls are another reason to visit. The organiser’s programme names South West TAFE, the South West Skills & Jobs Centre, Warrnambool Community Garden and several cultural groups among those taking part.
You could use the day to ask about local activities, discover a group to join or learn where to find further support. The festival is organised by the Warrnambool Multicultural Association and brings together people from across the region.
Book separately for hands-on workshops
Festival entry is free, but the workshops have a subsidised fee and limited places. Booking is essential through the association’s workshop page.
The listed sessions are Norwegian rosemaling painting at 10am ($20), clay diya making at 11am ($15), candle making at noon ($20), Indonesian games at 1pm ($10), and windmills and tulips painting at 2pm ($20). Prices are in Australian dollars. Workshops take place in the Lighthouse Theatre foyer, beside Civic Green.
