Newcomers looking for work, training or help settling in Québec can meet employers and support organisations at a free two-day fair in Montréal on 16 and 17 November 2026.
The Salon de l’immigration et de l’intégration au Québec, organised by Immigrant Québec, brings recruitment, study, regional living and business support into the Palais des congrès. Its programme includes CV advice, LinkedIn support, professional photos and spaces focused on French-language learning, asylum seekers and families.
When, where and how to get in
The organiser’s visitor FAQ confirms opening hours of 10am to 6pm on Monday 16 November and 10am to 5pm on Tuesday 17 November. These are local Montréal times.
Entry and the activities inside are free. Online registration is recommended for quicker entry, and one registration covers both days. Use the official free-ticket page.
The venue is at 1001 Place Jean-Paul-Riopelle. Place-d’Armes station, on the orange Métro line, is the organiser’s suggested public-transport stop. The fair welcomes people across immigration statuses, including newcomers, permanent residents, asylum seekers and Canadian citizens.
Bring your CV and a plan
The Québec government’s event listing recommends bringing CVs and covering letters to give to employers. It also highlights advice from employment and integration organisations, so the visit can be useful even if you are still deciding on your next step.
At the CV space, take a printed copy for a short, free consultation. The organiser describes a walk-in service, with advisers suggesting ways to make your experience clearer to Québec recruiters. This is a starting point for improving your application, rather than a promise of an interview.
The Québec chamber of commerce says the recruitment area allows employers to arrange meetings in advance and interview candidates at the fair. Check the organiser’s vacancies before visiting and choose the employers or services most relevant to your plans.
Support beyond job hunting
Several exhibitors can help in French and English, with other languages depending on their teams. The accessible venue also offers a free wheelchair loan by advance reservation. See the visitor FAQ for the booking link.
The salon does not issue immigration permits or invitation letters for people travelling from abroad. Attendance is an opportunity to ask questions and make contacts, not an immigration application or a job offer.
