Italy reopens disability-reserved Revenue Agency recruitment to eligible foreign applicants

Babylon Radio
Listen nowItaly’s Revenue Agency has reopened applications for its administrative-assistant recruitment to certain foreign applicants. The competition covers 622 permanent posts, but this is not a general jobs offer for everyone living in Italy.
The reopened window is for eligible citizens of other EU countries and specified non-EU residents. Applicants must also meet the competition’s disability, unemployment, education and registration rules. The official inPA notice gives a deadline of 19 November 2026 at 23:59.
Who can use the reopened window?
The 14 October amendment, published on 20 October, changes the citizenship requirement. It does not create another 622 jobs or reopen applications to Italian citizens who missed the original deadline.
Alongside citizens of other EU countries, the residence categories covered by Article 38 include:
- Non-EU family members of EU citizens who hold a right of residence or permanent residence.
- Holders of an EU long-term residence permit.
- People with refugee status or subsidiary protection.
A standard residence or work permit does not, by itself, establish eligibility under these categories.
The original competition notice also requires applicants to belong to the disability categories under Article 1 of Law 68/1999, be unemployed and be on the relevant targeted employment register, known as collocamento mirato. Other protected categories under Article 18 are excluded from this selection.
Applicants need an upper-secondary-school diploma and must meet the remaining admission requirements. They can choose only one province, matching their targeted employment registration. The notice lists posts across many provinces; Bolzano’s five posts have a separate procedure.
The June cut-off still matters
The amendment says the required conditions must have been met on 17 June 2026, the original closing date, and at contract signing. The original notice also requires them to continue until signing. Becoming eligible only after June is not enough.
The reopening follows a Milan Labour Court judgment dated 22 September. Admission remains subject to later court proceedings. A successful applicant’s contract will include a clause under which employment would end if later court proceedings favour the agency. This legal condition matters even though the advertised contracts are permanent.
How to check and apply
Start with the current inPA listing, and read both the original notice and its amendment. Applications are online through inPA using SPID, CIE, CNS or accepted eIDAS access. Check the notice’s PEC and digital-domicile requirements before applying.
If your diploma was awarded abroad, check the notice’s recognition requirement before submitting. The government’s foreign qualification guidance explains recognition for public competitions. Save the electronic submission receipt and follow the official listing for further announcements.
