Gothenburg’s Tillsammansfestivalen: community events from 5 to 8 November

Babylon Radio
Listen nowLooking for a way to meet people and explore Gothenburg this week? Tillsammansfestivalen runs from 5 to 8 November 2026, bringing community activities, culture and conversations to venues across the city. For newcomers, it offers a chance to discover local meeting places.
The city’s festival guide describes a programme built around human rights and bringing people of different backgrounds together. Locations include Kronhuset, Nordstan, Tullhuset and Drottningtorget, alongside museums, libraries and community venues. Dates and arrangements vary by activity, so choose a specific event before setting off.
Try free activities at Nordstan
Nordstan’s festival listing confirms free activities at Nordstadstorget on 6 and 7 November, from 10:30 to 17:00.
Friday 6 November is Blåljusdagen, focused on emergency services and community safety. Police, ambulance and rescue-service staff will be there. Visitors can ask questions, see vehicles and try activities. It is a practical option for families who would like to learn more about the people working in these services.
On Saturday 7 November, Hammarkullekarnevalen brings dance performances from different cultures. There will also be workshops where visitors can try music, dance and creative activities. Check the programme for individual session times rather than assuming each activity runs all day.
Explore Kronhuset’s programme
Kronhuset’s festival events run from 6 to 8 November, a day shorter than the wider festival. The venue lists concerts, talks, crafts, art and a chance to meet children’s character Sommarskuggan.
Its opening times are 11:00 to 16:00 on Friday, 11:00 to 15:30 on Saturday and 12:00 to 15:00 on Sunday. These are the venue’s programme hours, not a promise that every activity is available throughout.
Before you go
Start with the city guide and follow its link to the full 2026 programme. Check the activity’s exact venue, start time, booking requirements and any charge. Nordstan’s listing is free, but that should not be read as a guarantee that every event across the city is free.
If you need English-language support or step-free access, check with the venue before travelling. The listings do not establish those arrangements for every activity. The city also says it will take photographs at some festival locations, so speak to staff if that matters to you.
