Global Village 2026–27: food, crafts and culture after dark

Babylon Radio
Listen nowAfghan handicrafts, Chinese dragon dances and Indian street food are among the discoveries at Dubai’s Global Village this season. For residents exploring the city with friends or family, its pavilions offer an evening of food, music and makers from different parts of the world.
Season 31 runs from 14 October 2026 to May 2027, with standard entry starting at AED 25.
Three pavilion stops for your evening
Start with the Afghanistan pavilion, where the organiser highlights wood and copper crafts, pottery and carpets, alongside spices and sweets. Its pointed arches and patterned facade provide a setting for browsing the stalls.
At the China pavilion, the programme includes dragon dances and guzheng music, with herbal teas and handicrafts to explore. The pavilion’s golden dragons and pagoda-style roof make it an easy landmark for your group’s route.
For something closer to home, 971 from the community showcases Emirati makers and homegrown brands. Its locally made goods offer a way to discover the people and businesses behind the UAE’s creative scene.

Make dinner part of the trip
The Indian Chaat Bazaar brings together street-food favourites including dosas, parathas and ice golas, plus playful variations such as chocolate pani puri.
Over at the Floating Market beside Dragon Lake, the organiser lists ramen, seafood, grills and sweet dishes, with cuisines including Thai, Korean, Filipino and Vietnamese. Choosing a few dishes to share can make the food stops as much a part of the evening as the pavilions.
