Germany career help in November: job fair, student sessions and a free webinar

Babylon Radio
Listen nowLooking for work in Germany can mean learning a new application style as well as finding vacancies. Three November events offer practical help, but they serve different audiences. A Stuttgart job fair is open to a broad range of jobseekers, Potsdam has sessions for its international students, and an English-language webinar focuses on skilled crafts.
Stuttgart: meet employers on 11 November
Stuttgart Career Day takes place on Wednesday 11 November 2026, from 10am to 5pm, at the Liederhalle on Berliner Platz. Entry is free. The city lists the fair for people at different career stages, including students, graduates, experienced workers, career changers and people returning to work.
The event offers conversations with employers as well as help with applications. Check the organiser’s programme and free-ticket link before going. Application checks and coaching appointments are allocated at the venue on the day. The organiser describes these individual sessions as lasting 20 minutes.
For a newcomer, preparing a short introduction and bringing a CV could make those conversations more useful. Do not assume every employer offers English-speaking roles. Ask about the language required for the particular job rather than treating a general careers fair as an English-language recruitment event.

Potsdam: English-language help for international students
The University of Potsdam’s Career Prep Days run from 10 to 12 November 2026. The programme is specifically aimed at international students at the university, not the general public. Sessions are in English, with activities online and across its three campuses.
Topics include application documents, finding work in Germany, career options and entering the workplace. The published schedule includes an online job-search workshop on 10 November and an online session on legal aspects of starting work on 11 November. Students can follow the individual session links to register and check the format.
There are also free application-photo appointments. These require booking with a University of Potsdam email address. Check the available slots rather than arriving expecting a photograph without an appointment.
Online: skilled-crafts careers on 26 November
The official Make it in Germany webinar listing announces an English-language session on skilled-crafts careers on Thursday 26 November 2026, from 2pm to 3pm CET. Hosted by the Federal Employment Agency, it covers entry requirements, job searching and next steps for international craftspeople.
Registration is free. Participant capacity is limited. The listing says people who cannot enter because the session is full will be shown a YouTube livestream link when logging in, but the livestream does not provide access to the chat.
These are opportunities to get information and prepare applications, not promises of a job. Before signing up, choose the event that matches your location, background and eligibility. Recheck the official programme close to the date in case arrangements change.
