When and where is Fiesta Mexicana 2026?
The festival takes place from Sunday 20 September to Tuesday 22 September 2026 at Odaiba Deck / West Promenade in Minato City, Tokyo. Opening hours are 11:00 to 19:00 each day.
The Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau lists Daiba Station on the Yurikamome Line as about a one-minute walk away, while Tokyo Teleport Station on the Rinkai Line is around ten minutes on foot.
What can visitors expect?
Fiesta Mexicana is designed as a Mexico-Japan cultural exchange event rather than simply a food market. The programme includes Mexican music and traditional dance, more than 30 booths selling food, handicrafts and souvenirs, piñata activities and a dedicated lucha libre area.
The event is organised by the Fiesta Mexicana Executive Committee and the Japan-Latin America Cultural Exchange Association. Supporters listed by the organisers include the Embassy of Mexico in Japan and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s Bureau of Port and Harbor.
How much does Fiesta Mexicana cost?
General admission is free. Visitors pay separately for food, drinks, merchandise and any workshops or activities that carry a charge.
Is the festival still going ahead during the typhoon?
At the time of our latest check, the official festival site still lists the event for 20–22 September. However, organisers have posted an urgent notice saying typhoon conditions are changing rapidly and that their latest information will be updated each evening.
If you plan to attend, check the official Fiesta Mexicana website and the organiser update page shortly before leaving home. Do not rely only on an older event listing if weather conditions worsen.
Who is it worth attending for?
The festival is a particularly good fit for international residents and families who want a multicultural event without a ticket cost. It also gives newcomers an easy reason to explore Odaiba while experiencing Mexican food, music and community culture in Tokyo.
