Babylon Radio
Listen nowCrazy 4 La Timba returns to Lisbon from 15 to 18 October 2026 for four days of Cuban dance, music and social events. The programme includes more than 35 workshops, five parties, a Tumbakin concert, live percussion, a cultural conference and a Thursday beach kick-off in Carcavelos. Workshops cover beginner through advanced levels, while the Party Pass and Saturday concert provide options for people who do not want a full weekend of classes.
When and where is Crazy 4 La Timba 2026?
The festival runs from Thursday 15 October to Sunday 18 October 2026. Most activities are in Lisbon, with the main workshop base at Jazzy Dance Studios, Av. Brasília 254, and most evening parties at Time Out Market Lisboa, Av. 24 de Julho 49.
The Thursday beach kick-off takes place at Casa da Praia in Carcavelos, around 30 minutes from central Lisbon according to the organisers. Festival activities are spread across several venues, so check the official timetable before travelling.
How much are tickets?
Ticket prices were checked on the official festival website on 29 September 2026. The current options include:
The organisers state that tickets are non-refundable. A ticket name change is available for €10 until 14 October. Prices and availability can change, so check the official ticket page before booking.
What happens during the festival?
Crazy 4 La Timba focuses on Cuban dance and music rather than a generic nightclub programme. Workshops cover styles including son, rumba, Afro-Cuban roots, casino and timba, with sessions for different experience levels. The organisers also programme live percussion, a conference on Cuban dance and culture, bootcamps and advanced masterclasses.
The main live-music event is the Tumbakin concert on Saturday 17 October at Time Out Market. Doors are scheduled for 22:00, the concert for 23:00, followed by the party until 04:00.
Which ticket makes most sense?
If you want workshops as well as the parties, the €179 Fullpass is the straightforward all-weekend option. The €60 Party Pass is a better fit if your priority is meeting people and going out rather than taking classes. For a single evening, the €27 Tumbakin concert and Saturday party is the lowest-commitment way to experience one of the festival’s headline nights.
More experienced dancers can add a bootcamp or masterclass. The Friday show bootcamps run from 13:00 to 17:00 and are aimed at dancers with at least intermediate experience in the relevant styles.
Is Crazy 4 La Timba suitable for newcomers to Lisbon?
The organisers advertise workshops from beginner through advanced levels. People who prefer a social event without classes can choose the €60 Party Pass, which covers all five parties, or the €27 Saturday ticket for the Tumbakin concert and the party that follows.
The Thursday beach kick-off is at Casa da Praia in Carcavelos, while the remaining main venues are in central Lisbon. Check the official timetable before travelling between venues.
