Speak to the employment team
The Youghal venue’s announcement confirms a presentation followed by an opportunity to speak individually with a team member. It specifies over-18s, advance registration and sessions running subject to numbers.
If you are unfamiliar with local support services, prepare a few questions about the work you would like to do, your existing skills and any training you are considering. The individual conversation can help you identify a practical next step.
Who can use the support?
SECAD’s SICAP employment services focus on disadvantaged people in rural Cork communities. Listed groups include refugees and people seeking protection, people on low incomes or underemployed, those unemployed for more than 12 months, single parents and carers, and people out of work through illness or disability. Eligibility criteria apply.
The wider service can help with CVs, applications and interview preparation, as well as education and training options. Ask the team which support fits your circumstances.
