Vicenza’s AMP Festival: November concerts and free film talks

Babylon Radio
Listen nowJazz, electronics, psychedelic rock and free film talks are coming together in Vicenza as the city’s new AMP Festival begins its first edition. Running from 27 October to 10 November 2026, the programme offers several November evenings to plan around, rather than a single festival day.
AMP stands for Altri Mondi Possibili, meaning other possible worlds. Its opening edition looks back at 60 years of psychedelia, but the line-up also reaches into contemporary sounds. For international residents looking for a way into the city’s cultural life, there is a choice between live music at the Teatro Comunale and smaller events in other venues.
Three November concerts to put in the diary
Robyn Hitchcock plays on Monday 2 November, with the programme starting at 9pm in the Sala del Ridotto. The evening pairs a talk by music writer Riccardo Bertoncelli with Hitchcock’s live performance. Tickets are listed at €20, or €15 for people under 30 and over 65.
On Friday 6 November, C’Mon Tigre brings a different kind of journey to the same room at 9pm. The duo works with an international collective of musicians and artists, drawing on jazz, afro-jazz, hip-hop and funk. Its current live project puts electronic music alongside acoustic instruments, including oud, cello and percussion, a promising pick for listeners who prefer their music to cross borders rather than stay in one genre.
C’Mon Tigre tickets are €28, with a €25 price for under-30s and over-65s. The festival’s final concert is Tortoise on Tuesday 10 November, at 9pm in the larger Sala Maggiore. The Chicago group’s instrumental music moves between post-rock, electronics and jazz. Tickets are also listed at €28, or €25 for under-30s and over-65s.
Free talks, but book a place
The programme is not limited to paid concerts. On Wednesday 4 November, Anton Giulio Onofri and Mario Sesti explore the images and music of Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey. That discussion starts at 9pm at Cinema Odeon’s Sala Lampertico.
The following evening, Jacopo Bulgarini d’Elci uses Philip K. Dick’s A Scanner Darkly as a route into the cinema, literature and ideas of the 1960s. It takes place on Thursday 5 November at 9pm in the Sala dei Pegni at Palazzo del Monte di Pietà.
Both talks are free, but registration is compulsory. Their venue pages do not promise English interpretation, so check with the organiser if language support will determine whether you attend.

Dirty Three opens the festival on 27 October at 9pm in the Sala Maggiore, with tickets listed at €50 or €60 depending on the sector. For all dates, use the booking link on the individual official event page to check current availability and the final checkout total. Listed prices are not a guarantee that seats remain available.
The programme uses several venues, so check the location as well as the date when booking. The theatre lists online booking and box-office sales from one hour before performances; for a free talk, reserve rather than assuming you can walk in.
